A (in)human look at the Fire Service and what comes after

I do two kinds ...
... of camping. One is like this:
The other is more like this:
Both have advantages. I appreciate the comforts of the former and the solitude of the latter.
The Saint I am Married to doesn't do the latter, so it's the former if she and I are going to camp together. Like everything else in life, it's all about compromise.
My idea of roughing it is a hotel room without air conditioning in the summer.
That's a nice trailer you have. I especially like the fold out awning. Now, if you could hang some curtain screens, add some patio furniture, unroll a nice section of AstroTurf and finish it off with a few pink plastic flamingos... well, it would be just about perfect.
Maybe a custom plate for the trailer: HOSEDRAGER-1
If I added astro-turf and flamingos, It would too closely resemble my primary residence, a look that I'm trying to get past.
As far as a room without a/c being roughing it, I totally agree. Please note the A/C unit on top of the trailer. Don't leave home without it. Or don't camp where it's hot.
I do the same with the lovely wife. Campgrounds with chopped wood, tent trailers and showers when we're together. Under the truck or under the stars when we're not....

5400 - I gotta be honest, I kinda like a tent when in the boondocks and my back really likes a cot. Fortunately, both fit quite well in the jeep!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment - BTW good luck on finding the right school.
