911 and the randomness - I am embarrassed to say this was shot with my old camera. I didn't have time to pull out my new one, I barely got this with my old one, which was literally in my grasp when the shot came up.
My name is Schmoe, I am a retired Fire Captain from a "kind of big" municipal fire department that protects a wide range of risks. I am a little past fifty and spent thirty years on the job. I have been happily married for almost as long and have two young adult sons.
Coming from fixed wings, you have to give it to chopper pilots, really.

Sweeeeeet.... I was *this* close to dropping out of college to become a helicopter pilot. If I ever win the lottery, lessons will be my first splurge.
